Your credit card will be charged the day the product is shipped. For monthly rentals, you will be charged once per month until the product is returned or the total amount of rental fees paid total the purchase price of the item rented. For multiple month orders, monthly billing will occur ($22 per month for Baby Doppler’s, $40 per month for Baby Doppler’s w/ Digital Display's) when the pre-paid term expires thereafter until the product is returned or the total amount of rental fees paid total the purchase price of the item rented. The rental fees include all taxes. When returning your Baby Doppler, please notify us by phone (1-800-323-2943) or by email (returns@heartones.com) to avoid any unnecessary charges to your credit card. If you are billed and we receive the Doppler back within 7 days of the bill date, you will be refunded that month’s rental fee. If you notify us that you are returning the Doppler before your billing date, charges will be frozen for 10 days past the billing date. If we do not receive the Doppler within 10 days after the billing date, monthly charges will resume. The HearTones Baby Doppler is fully warranted during the rental period and for a period of 1 year after purchase. Any Doppler that fails to perform as described will be replaced at the expense of HearTones. If a Baby Doppler is damaged during shipment to customer, a replacement will be sent at the expense of Heartones, and return shipment for the damaged Baby Doppler will be provided to the customer free of charge. If the Baby Doppler is damaged by misuse, neglect or failure to adhere to proper packing & shipping instructions for return shipment, the customer assumes full liability of repair costs. Customer also accepts full responsibility should the Baby Doppler be lost, stolen or destroyed during rental. If a customer does not pay the rental fee or return the Baby Doppler: This unit is rented under Colorado State Law that states that rental equipment not returned within seventy-two (72) hours of stated time will be subject to prosecution for theft. HearTones policy: If payment is past due for a period of 30 days and HearTones is unable to contact the customer, the unit will be considered stolen. COLORADO STATE LAW CONCERNING THEFT OF RENTAL PROPERTY. C.R.S. 73 18-4-402 as amended by HB 1203 (1975): 18-4-402. Theft of rental property: A person commits theft of rental property if he lawfully obtained possession for temporary use of the property and fails to return said property to the owner within seventy-two hours after the time at which he agreed to return it. Theft of rental property is a CLASS 6 FELONY where the value of the property involved is more than five hundred dollars ($500). The HearTones Baby Doppler has met the stringent requirements of both the FDA & UL. It is considered safe to use for its intended application. Diagnostic ultrasound is safe. Many test are continually conducted by manufacturers and the U.S. government, and no adverse side effects have been found. Your caregiver keeps up-to-date on developments in this field and is well qualified to judge the risks and benefits of ultrasound. All customers agree to hold Hearotnes and/or Peak Medical Systems, inc. and it’s their employees and suppliers harmless from & against any claims, actions or demands, liabilities and settlements, including legal and accounting fees, resulting from use of the HearTones Baby Doppler. By accepting this rental agreement, the customer states that they have discussed renting/purchasing a fetal monitor with their physician, and have their approval to use the monitor.
